For 117 years, the Columbia Missourian has covered local news while training students to become journalists. Through the Missouri Method, our students learn to amplify unheard voices and hold the powerful accountable. To continue serving our communities and pursue deeper stories, the Missourian has partnered with NewsMatch, a nationwide movement that supports independent, public service journalism like ours.
Our goal is to raise $12,000 for the Missourian Newsroom Support Fund by December 31. The Missourian Publishing Board has generously pledged to match gifts up to $11,000, making your contribution go even farther. Because of our strong K-12 education coverage, the Education Partner Fund has also selected the Missourian to receive an additional bonus match of up to $2,500 based on our fundraising performance. Help us unlock this reward and bring even more resources to our newsroom by spreading the word with others who believe in the power of local journalism.
Thank you for supporting the Missourian and the next generation of journalists. Your gift will directly strengthen our reporting. It will fund travel for stories, cover public records requests, upgrade equipment and expand our audience engagement efforts.
