Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders

Since its launch in 2005, the Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders at the University of Missouri has become a national leader in confronting the challenges of autism and other developmental conditions through its collaborative research, training and service programs.

MU alumni William and Nancy Thompson launched the Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders with an $8.5 million gift that endowed two faculty chair positions and provided funds for other startup activities.

Private gifts support student scholarships and fellowships; endowed faculty chairs and professorships; and programs for children and families.

Rates of autism are growing rapidly in the United States, with no clearly identified cause or cure. This is the time to support vital research and services that can make a difference for countless people living with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
