Campus leaders announce new campaign goal of $1 billion
Sept. 16, 2005
MU faculty, staff, students and alumni gathered on Friday, September 16, to Celebrate Mizzou, where volunteer leaders announced a new For All We Call Mizzou campaign goal of $1 billion. The event was held to recognize Brady Deaton as MU's new leader, share a vision for the future and to celebrate the success of the campaign.
The new goal was set after the campaign surpassed its original goal of $600 million by $3 million. The primary focus of the new goal, which officials expect to achieve by December 31, 2008, is to bolster support for students and faculty.
MU is the 24th public university in the nation to engage in a $1 billion campaign, a list that includes the University of Michigan, The University of North Carolina, and UCLA.
