Campus leaders speak about new campaign goal of $1 billion

This truly is a historic day for the University of Missouri-Columbia. We began the For All We Call Mizzou campaign in 1999 to strengthen Missouri's flagship university by seeking support for students, faculty, programs and facilities. We have witnessed firsthand the incredible generosity of our supporters as they invested in Mizzou's future. We have demonstrated the great strength of the public/private partnership and will now take it to the next level.”
We are confident we will achieve this new goal of $1 billion. This is something this University must do. It is very important to us that Mizzou remains affordable to students today and tomorrow, particularly in this environment of economic uncertainty. This campaign already has benefited students tremendously. Increasing the goal is necessary so that MU can continue to achieve its vision and its mission.”
If MU is to continue as Missouri's premier public research university and a major economic engine, then we must be able to recruit and retain the best faculty in the country. And we intend to do just that.”
