School of Medicine
The University of Missouri School of Medicine improves the health of Missourians and the nation by providing excellent health-care education, with special emphasis on the needs of rural communities, and by generating new knowledge through health-related research. The School of Medicine is internationally recognized for research on cures for cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and other ailments.
MU provides the area’s largest and most comprehensive pediatric health-care facility, with more than 30 specialties just for children. The school’s top-ranked programs in primary care and education serve the growing aging population by improving care in hospitals and nursing homes and discovering new treatments for chronic diseases.
