Bond Life Sciences Center

Interdisciplinary teamwork is key to addressing modern questions and problems in the life sciences. The Christopher S. Bond Life Sciences Center houses 35 outstanding and productive scientists representing six different MU schools and colleges and more than 300 research staff and undergraduate and graduate students in a setting designed for interaction. The Bond Life Science Center’s facilities, programs and services enable it to serve as a hub and model for all life sciences research and education at MU.

Big questions require diverse perspectives, abilities and toolkits. The center’s research teams are dedicated to forging novel coalitions capable of solving puzzles having to do with human, natural and managed biological systems that underlie our quality of life — and translating that understanding into social and economic impact for Missouri, the nation and the world.

Public outreach and education are key components of the center’s mission, as well. Missouri Life Sciences Week, Saturday Morning Science, the Life Sciences and Society Program and other events and resources of the center encourage the general public and K-12 students and teachers to take an interest in and better understand the key scientific issues of our day.

There are many ways of supporting the work of the Bond Life Sciences Center. Please join us as we seek to improve life through scientific inquiry and education.
