The mission of the College of Human Environmental Sciences touches the heart of humanity: to develop and nurture human potential, and to improve society through the scientific study of basic human needs.
Our historic, land-grant roots make University research and learning available to the community, state, nation and world. HES encompasses:

Architectural Studies, to improve quality of life through design of the physical environment;

Human Development and Family Studies, to understand and help individuals and families across the life span;

Nutritional Sciences, to improve human health through the study of diet and exercise;

Personal Financial Planning, to help individuals and families reach their financial and economic goals;

Social Work, to assist the most vulnerable members of our population in order to nurture stable and productive individuals, families and communities; and

Textile and Apparel Management, to address global issues related to textiles and clothing.
