College of Engineering

The University of Missouri-Columbia has pioneered engineering education and research since it offered the nation’s first engineering class west of the Mississippi River in 1849.

In today’s global society, the MU College of Engineering is more important than ever. Engineers are crucial to the nation’s vitality and growth and in shaping our future. Generous donors can make a world of difference.

  • You can help outstanding engineering students who need support;
  • You can help talented engineering educators and researchers whose work requires up-to-date equipment, laboratories and classrooms; and
  • You can help the College of Engineering draw the nation’s best students and faculty members and create the leaders, engineers, educators and researchers of tomorrow.

We are strengthening Mizzou Engineering’s educational and research foundations, and establishing centers that target the technological needs of the future, such as biomedicine and nanotechnology.

We strive to add depth and diversity to our student body.

Since 1997, we have increased our undergraduate enrollment by more than 30 percent and boosted our scholarship funding by 90 percent to ensure our students have the financial resources they need.

And we aim to do more. Our goal is to double our graduate student enrollment from 400 to 800 students.

This requires investment in the college’s infrastructure. We need your help to provide the crucial resources that will enable the college to continue educating the best and brightest leaders for tomorrow.

Please help us continue the College of Engineering’s tradition of excellence. Contact Engineering Advancement for information on helping us build a better world.
