Chancellor's Fund for Excellence
Gifts to the Chancellor’s Fund for Excellence demonstrate support of the chancellor’s vision for the University of Missouri-Columbia. The fund provides the financial support for the University to:
- Provide scholarships for promising students and capable, low-income students.
- Enhance opportunities for undergraduate research, the Honors College, service learning programs and study-abroad experiences.
- Recruit and retain faculty who are globally recognized for their achievements.
- Reward stellar faculty engaged in honors classes, undergraduate research, service learning and student communities.
- Address its most compelling needs.
- Take advantage of unexpected opportunities.
- Provide seed money for innovative programs and new research.
- Provide greater stability in uncertain economic times.
Gifts to the fund qualify donors for membership in the Chancellor’s Society, which is a special category of membership within the Jefferson Club and has the same membership requirements.
From the Chancellor
Chancellor
Brady DeatonI am very grateful to alumni and friends for recognizing the importance of giving to campus decision-makers the flexibility to fulfill compelling needs and take advantage of promising opportunities.
The University of Missouri-Columbia will be stronger because of the Chancellor’s Fund for Excellence, which gives us the much-needed resources to ensure that our students receive the best preparation for lifelong successes.
